Candy Cane Bedroom Socks via the purl bee)
The pattern says that "these socks are designed for all knitters, whether you’ve made socks before or not. There are no tricky heels or gussets, just a tube and a toe!" What do you think, too ambitious? I did just have a nasty run-in with double-pointed needles, but am committed to taming those wild beasts.

Waxed Canvas Carrier via Moop)
At the risk of sounding like a complete Moop groupie... well, uh I want THIS bag now! It's so beautiful-- I particularly love the closure on it. Swoon swoon.
Nostalgia Explosion: Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block, Hangin’ Tough Once Again via TIME NewsFeed )
And speaking of guilty pleasures... did y'all know that New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys are touring together as NKOTBSB? I was a little too young to see NKOTB when they toured the first time but had a rompin' good time at their reunion tour two summers ago. And as for BSB, I don't want to lose too much street cred here but let's just say that they were responsible for many a daydream back in my very happy middle school years. The end.

Little Winter- A Handmade Market)
How much did I want to be in Portland last weekend and go to the Little Winter market? So very much. The best and brightest bloggers and craft artisans were all there with their beautifully styled tables and goods. I would have walked around endlessly, completely in awe of the creativity and beauty and then would have dropped boatloads of cash at every table, I'm sure. Seriously though, check out their flickr group for photos of the event.
Here we are at the weekend again. We are having a Vermont/ North Country/ Canadian weekend, starting with a road trip up to Montpelier tonight and ending with a belated Canadian/early American Thanksgiving on Sunday. Lots of good things in between. (I just accidentally wrote "food things" instead of "good things" and that's awesome and hopefully true).
