It has been brought to my attention by Google Analytics that most people visiting this blog are only interested in hairstyle photos. Which is funny. It's actually hilarious to me. No matter what else I write, the views on those posts pale in comparison to anything from the pixie cut series. While I'm not rocking a pixie cut at the moment, I have begun to dabble in the exciting (?) world of asymmetrical hairstyles. Yes, it's exhilarating. I think I may be working my way back to an all-around shorter 'do, but in the meantime this is what's happening on my head. The color is a wee bit darker now than in this photo because, you know, it's completely sane to test out a new hair color one week before your wedding. It's subtle, but it gave me heart palpitations nonetheless.

So funny you should post this today! I am thinking of going short . . . "pixie short" so I typed it into google images. As I was scrolling the photos I thought "Hey! I know her!!!" There was your little sweet face with your sweet pixie cut right next to Ginnifer Goodwin and Michele Williams. You are a total Rock Star Sister!!! xox
ReplyDeleteAww! You look so gorgeous with a short 'do... go for it :) Miss you!
DeleteVery nice haircut ! Next step : the pixie cut ?
ReplyDeleteLove the hair! I'm jealous of you and your gorgeous hair!
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky that you happen to look very attractive in any hairstyle. A woman who can rock a short pixie somehow seems to attract an especially high level of envious attention.
ReplyDeleteDo you think Michelle Williams would be on so many magazine covers if she had long hair?

I take full credit for jacking up your visitation numbers: I contemplated going pixie for months and kept returning to your pages over and over. Finally, your pictures convinced me to take the plunge in September, and you were right: I loved it! However, I get bored with my hair easily and have decided to grow it out... Of course I returned to your blog again for advice and photos! I love the angled bob, and you look gorgeous no matter what the 'do. Keep posting and inspiring with your wit and honesty. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, being a fellow Capital Region resident I can't believe I'm just now finding your blog. But of course I was searching pixie cuts on Pinterest and found your pics. Which leads me to my question, do you give out the name of your stylist or salon?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Kathy
Sure, Kathy! I've gone to a few different stylists over the past few years. Oksana at Jean Paul Salon cut and maintained most of the styles during my pixie cut phase. Liza at Townsend & Co. has been cutting my hair now that it's in a longer bob phase. I actually just got it cut again, a bit shorter, by Liza too. But shoot me an email at christine@unspeakablevisions.com and I can give you more info if you want :)
DeleteThanks Christine, yep I may drop you a line.
ReplyDeleteThat is totally how I found your blog! I was looking up pixie haircuts tonight (as my husband really wants me in short hair) and found your pixie cut series really helpful! Not sure if I would do it quite yet, but maybe sometime in the near future.
